This May we have a unique opportunity to say YES to the future of Molalla and provide a new Middle School for our kids.
This May is our chance to step up and help. There will be an accountable, common-sense measure to build a safe, healthy and functioning Middle School for our kids, making Molalla a better place to live, work and raise a family. By supporting this measure, we contribute to creating a better living environment in Molalla, fostering a community that is not only conducive to work but also ideal for raising families. This responsible and sensible measure invests in the well-being of our children and the overall improvement of our community.
Three reasons to vote YES on the proposed bond measure:
Builds a Safe, Secure and Healthy School to Serve Generations to Come
It’s our responsibility to do everything we can to help keep students safe and healthy while attending school. Active shooters which have become all too common today and wildfire smoke is getting worse every year, putting our students’ health at risk. This bond will make our schools safer by updating security technology including additional cameras and automatic locking mechanisms and invest in with efficient ventilation systems that keeps our kids safe and schools open
Provides a Better Opportunities for our Kids
A failing building doesn’t just mean kids have to wear coats inside or avoid buckets of rain water in the hallway; it has a real impact on our kids education. Building a new middle school will give our students access to an updated school with modern technology, flexible learning spaces, and enhanced career and technical education opportunities.
Right Fit, Right Time for Molalla
Now is the right time to pass this bond. Changes in market conditions and the stabilization of construction material costs mean we can now complete this project for nearly $20 million dollars less compared to a year ago and neighboring districts. The District has smartly structured this bond to keep the monthly and yearly costs as low as possible. This Bond will cost $1.55 per $1,000 assessed value. Which is about $36 dollars a month. The best part? 100% of funds raised stay right here in our community. Not a penny to Salem.
